Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney shares information with parents regarding the end of the district's suspension of the state assessment for high school students.

Williamson County Schools is a K-12 school district with approximately 37,000 students enrolled for the 2015-2016 school year. There are 41 school sites: nine high schools, eight middle schools, 23 elementary schools, and one K- 8 school.  Three new schools are under construction in Nolensville and will open with the 2016-17 school year: Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle and Nolensville High.

According to the Tennessee Department of Education’s 2015 Report Card, WCS earned all A’s in 3-8 Achievement and an A, B and C in Value-Added Growth. In addition, the district’s graduating class of 2015 posted an ACT composite score of 23.8, the highest in the history of the district. In addition, 21 Williamson County schools were named 2014-15 Reward Schools by the Tennessee Department of Education.
