2010-11 CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE® Student Guide Changes

Dear PROFILE User:

The College Board is pleased to announce some changes to the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE Student Guide and its distribution resulting from our efforts to be better global citizens. (If you are not the proper contact for college financial aid information, please pass this message on to the proper recipient at your high school.)

To begin with, we reworked the PROFILE Student Guide itself. Our new one-page brochure focuses on the information that the guidance counselors we contacted at both public and private schools across the nation agreed was most essential, including a list of colleges that require the PROFILE application.

The new PROFILE Student Guide, available in PDF format at the College Board's CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE page, can be posted to your school and PTA/PTO websites (providing information to your students 24/7), e-mailed to students and their parents, and printed out or copied as many times as you wish, any time you wish. The PDF format provides greater flexibility in reaching students and their parents, and will help us in our attempts to "go green."

Additionally, this year we will not automatically mail printed copies of the Student Guides to schools. We encourage you to use the PDF, but if you find that it does not meet your needs, you may order printed copies from the College Board using a new online order process also available at CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE. Orders must be placed by June 1, 2009, to be included in the August distribution.

If you have any questions, please contact us at help@cssprofile.org.
