GRADUATION INFORMATION

ATTENTION SENIORS:     

 Sunday, May 18  Baccalaureate

1:30 P.M.

Seniors arrive at The People’s Church wearing Caps and Gowns. 
   
Friday, May 23   Graduation Practice
9:00  A.M. Seniors must participate in the practice exercise.
  ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY.
   
Saturday, May 24 Graduation Day Activities--Lipscomb University--Allen Arena
9:00 A.M. Arrive at Allen Arena and line up
   

       

Do not put your gown on until you’re inside.  Do not bring bags or purses.

 

9:00 a.m.                                   Graduates meet in the designated lower level of Allen Arena.

                                                Graduates line up (as rehearsed) and remain

                                                until the ceremony begins.  Be courteous / respectful.

 

 

10:00 a.m.                                 Graduation Ceremony

 

 

Dress Code

The dress code is in effect for both Baccalaureate and Graduation.

  1. NO messages or decorations taped or written on graduation caps or robes.
  2. NO sunglasses.
  3. NO flip flops, Birkenstocks, tennis shoes, blue jeans or shorts.
  4. NO gum.
  5. Mortar boards (caps) worn flat with tassels on the right side.

 

Girls                                                                            Guys

White or pastel solid dresses (no longer than gown)         Long, dark or khaki dress slacks

White or light shoes                                                       White or light colored dress shirts

No flowers of any kind                                                  Dark shoes and socks

                                                                                    Ties required

No cord other than Honor Cords will be permitted.

 

Handicap Access Directives:  Handicapped parking is available in the adjacent parking garage to Allen Arena.
