The Hillsboro Library provides both print and non-print resources for all our students from Pre-K through eighth grade. Our goal is to have all students become independent library users, life-long learners and develop a love of reading.

Each class has a scheduled library time every week.  Teachers may also schedule additional class time for research projects.  The library is always open for individual students to check out books during the school day as long as they have teacher permission.

The library sponsors both a Fall and Spring book fair each year.  These book fairs provide a wonderful way for students to add to their home library.  All profits from these events are used to purchase more books for our library collection which has been growing steadily over the past few years!  We have also added many new Accelerated Reading books, as well as the tests to accompany them.
