HILLSBORO SCHOOL'S
1,000 WELLS PROJECT A SUCCESS

Students at Hillsboro School have raised thousands of dollars to help build wells for African villages.   The 1,000 Wells Project began February 1 with students being asked to give up all beverages except water for two weeks.  Students took the money saved from not buying other beverages and donated it towards the wells project.  When the project wrapped up on February 14, the Hillsboro community had raised more than $4,000.  The school then held an assembly on February 16 featuring poems and songs performed by the students, plus a special guest - Big Kenny of the country duo Big & Rich.
