You are invited to be a part of an exciting five-day Girls TEC (“Tackling Emerging Careers”) Camp where you will be introduced to science and technology.  Girls TEC will be held at Centennial High School June 25-29 from 8:00AM – 3:00 PM each day (with the exception of Friday which will end mid-morning).  During the five days you will plan and complete a variety of projects within selected technology curriculum, participate in problem solving and team building activities, travel to local businesses to see technology at work, and hear from dynamic women in non-traditional careers.  If you want to know more about networking, communications, engineering, architecture, biotechnology, law, hospitality and tourism, and other fast-growing, high paying technology fields, you need to sign up for this exciting opportunity.  Girls TEC is only $30 which includes lunch each day, a tee-shirt, and many other perks that you will not want to miss.  The camp will be led by engineering design/ drafting instructor Tim Sawyer.  Space is limited and reservations will be held according to the date the application is received.  This opportunity is open to Williamson County and Franklin Special School Districts, Williamson County private schools and home school students.  To pre-register complete, detach, and return the pre-registration form with check (payable to: Williamson County Schools) below to: Rebecca Cain, Career Counselor for Career and Technical Education, Williamson County Schools, 1320 West Main Street, Suite 202, Franklin, TN  37064; fax number 595-4938.  Eligible applicants will be notified by mail and given additional information to prepare for the week.  If you have questions, call Rebecca Cain at 472-4063.  The deadline for applications is May 18.
