Issue 19 - April 26, 2007

Several stories this week
spotlight those who make Williamson County Schools the best.
We're talking students, teachers, volunteers, and everyone in
between! We have three videos for you to browse this week.
First of all, CLICK HERE to see a video of this year's Academic
Excellence Banquet where each high school's top students were
honored. Also, CLICK HERE for a short clip of the
Tennessee State School Board recognizing two of our schools for
some very prestigious honors. Finally on the video front,
CLICK HERE for a look at a humorous but informative presentation
on bullying recently given at Westwood Elementary.
The problem solving skills of
some Williamson County students are taking them all the way to
the Global competition of Destination Imagination!
check it out. Also, those volunteers who tirelessly give
their time to help our students succeed were recognized at the
Shining Apple Awards. CLICK HERE for more.
We also have some important
reminders this week. First of all, CLICK HERE to learn
about how you can register your incoming eighth grader for the
upcoming Girls TEC Camp. Plus, this weekend you can stock
up on school supplies and other related items and forget about
the sales tax! CLICK HERE for information on what applies.
Plus we want to again remind you of all the important
information you need to know about Open Zoned schools for the
2007-2008 school year. CLICK HERE to read all about it.
This week you also need to
check out our MUSIC AND THEATER INFORMATION section! As
the end of the school year approaches, there are LOTS of
performances you can attend at schools all across the county!
