NEW ROLES FOR TWO
WILLIAMSON COUNTY SCHOOL LEADERS

New Winstead Elementary Assistant Principal Connie Kinder

New College Grove Elementary Principal Dr. Melonye Lowe
Dr. Rebecca Sharber has announced two administrative changes for Williamson County Schools effective in June.

College Grove Elementary Principal Connie Kinder has been appointed assistant principal at Winstead Elementary School and will be serving as acting principal there effective June 12.

Kenrose Elementary Assistant Principal Dr. Melonye Lowe has been named principal at College Grove Elementary.

“When one person moves, it creates an opening for another,” said Sharber. “These administrators are excellent leaders who are excited about the new opportunities that await them.”

Kinder has been an administrator in Williamson County Schools for the past seven years and has a total of 15 years administrative experience and 11 years teaching experience.

“While I look ahead with excitement to the transition to Winstead Elementary School this summer, I am also reflective of what I’m leaving at College Grove,” said Kinder.  “These past seven years have been phenomenal in so many ways. The community, parents, staff and students have been tremendous. I feel honored to have served with them.”

“I look forward to getting to know everyone at Winstead as I have heard wonderful things about the school and community, and I am eager to support the work and programs that have been established.”

Lowe has served an assistant principal for the past two years at Kenrose and one year at Oak View Elementary. She taught for 23 years with nine of those at Pinewood Elementary; two at Kenrose; and the remaining 12 years were spent teaching at schools in Georgia and Louisiana.

“College Grove has a long, rich history of excellence and outstanding service to the community,” said Lowe. “I consider it my privilege to join the staff, and I am looking forward to getting to know the teachers, students and families that make College Grove such a wonderful school.”
