Issue 5 - September 28, 2006

Welcome to the fifth
issue of IN FOCUS. Two of our top
stories this week are stories about how some Williamson County
Schools are setting an example for other schools around the
state and the nation. Brentwood Middle School is the proud
recipient of the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon award, and
also received a $3,000 grant for art supplies. Fairview
Elementary School is also eagerly awaiting news regarding
whether they will be awarded the Title I Distinguished School
award.
This week you can also
read about some Fairview High School students who created a
website for a local sleep lab, get information on Westwood
Elementary School's T.I.G.E.R. night, and learn about some new
playground equipment at Pinewood Elementary School. Plus,
you can check out the colorful statement made by some Williamson
County Schools during last week's "Pinwheels for Peace" project
in conjunction with the International Day of Peace. We
also have some important information regarding Williamson County
Schools' College Night coming up on October 5!
As always, be sure to
check out the PHOTO GALLERY for the latest snapshots of what's
happening around Williamson County Schools. Also, the
FUNDRAISERS section has lots of new information and events as well!
If you're not already signed up to receive IN FOCUS,
you can sign up

Please pass along the information on how to sign up to anyone
who may be interested to know what's going on inside Williamson
County Schools. And as always, you can
EMAIL US with any comments or
input!
