Issue 9 - November 22, 2006
This week's IN
FOCUS is coming out a day early because of the
Thanksgiving holiday. But just because its a short week
and a holiday doesn't mean we have any shortage of content!
There is LOTS to check out this week!
First of all, get those
video players ready, because we have lots this week. (Mac users,
CLICK HERE for a free download that will allow you to view
the videos!) Since it is Thanksgiving, we'll start off
with a piece on Williamson County Adult Education's ESOL
students learning how to make Thanksgiving dinner.
CLICK HERE to check it out.
Helping others took center stage as students at Edmondson and
Kenrose elementary schools held a clothing drive for Glenview
Elementary School in Nashville.
CLICK HERE to see more. We
can't give enough thanks to America's veterans.
CLICK HERE to see how some
schools honored them on Veteran's Day. Centennial High
School students got to show off some of their work to the public
at School Night at the Apple Store at the Mall at Green
Hills recently. CLICK HERE for
more. Williamson County Career and Tech students got a
chance to learn more about opportunities available to them at
the Career and Tech Leadership Day earlier this month.
If that isn't enough
for you, there's more! We can all give thanks for the fact
that we are served by some of the best schools in Tennessee.
CLICK HERE to check out Williamson
County Schools' report card from the Tennessee Department of
Education. Zoning is always an important issue here in
Williamson County and meetings have been set to learn more about
some possible changes. CLICK

season. CLICK HERE to
learn about how Williamson County Schools will handle any school
cancellations. Students, you also have a chance to help
name a fun run coming up at Crockett Elementary!
Also, be sure and check
out the new STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
section. Here we'll feature Williamson County
students who have won state or national championships.
This week, we honor Page High School's Marching Band, Brentwood
High School's girls volleyball team, a cross country runner from
Independence High, a cross country runner from Brentwood High,
and several broadcasting students from Brentwood High.
As always, be sure to
pass along the word to
SIGN UP for
IN FOCUS to those who haven't already done so.
Please feel free to EMAIL US
