| CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL |
| Congratulations to
Centennial High School's Women's Chorus and Concert
Choir for their performance in the Middle Tennessee
Vocal Association Regional Festival at MTSU.
Both groups received a score of
"superior" in the Concert Literature, which is the
highest honor. The concert choir also received a
"superior" in sight reading. By receiving top
scores in all categories, both choirs qualified to
compete in the state finals April 26 at Lipscomb
University. |

Josh Lampley |
Congratulations to Fairview
High School student Josh Lampley for winning third place
at the Shakespeare Monologue Competition March 10.
Held in the Blackbox Theatre at Belmont, the contest
required each student to present a monologue and a
sonnet from Shakespeare's works. As one of the top
winners, Josh received a book on Shakespeare.

Congratulations to
Franklin High School student Peter Garvin for earning
national recognition in The Scholastic Art and Writing
Awards of 2012.
Peter received a Silver Medal for his
painting The Wanderer. This year, 200,000 works
of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1,500
were recognized at the national level.

| Congratulations to the
Ravenwood High School Wind Ensemble for their
performance at the MTSBOA Concert Performance
Assessment. At this event, bands are rated on a
scale of 1-5 with a 1 being the highest score. The
RHS Wind Ensemble received ratings of 1’s in all
categories. As a result of this, the group has
qualified to perform at the Tennessee Bandmasters State
Concert Festival in April. |

Ravenwood High School Hockey Team for winning the
Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey Championship.
The Raptors beat Brentwood 1-0 to win the 2012 Predators
Cup. Ravenwood is the first team to claim three
hockey state titles. |
