AWARDS & ACCOLADES

STUDENTS

Hannah Andrews, Ravenwood High:  Finished in sixth place in Storytelling at the National Forensics Tournament in Birmingham, AL.

Randy Dierkes, Ravenwood High:  Made it to the quarterfinals in Prose Interpretation and Poetry Interpretation at the National Forensics Tournament in Birmingham, AL.

Lizzy Nieman, Ravenwood High:  Finished in the top twelve in the nation in Storytelling at the National Forensics Tournament in Birmingham, AL.

Marshall Cottrell, Brentwood High:   Finished in sixth place in Public Forum Debate at the National Forensics Tournament in Birmingham, AL.
Katie Thornton, Brentwood High:    Finished in sixth place in Public Forum Debate at the National Forensics Tournament in Birmingham, AL.

Kate Werner, Centennial High:   Received the prestigious Mary Harmon Bryant Academic Elite Scholarship at the University of Alabama. The scholarship provides tuition, living expenses and a laptop computer for four years of undergraduate studies.

TEACHERS

Robbie Reed, Centennial High:   Recipient of Tennessee's highest award for teachers in career and technical education, the 2008-2009 Tennessee CTE Teacher of the Year.  Ms. Reed teaches marketing at Centennial High.

Karie Smith, Ravenwood High:  Will play the role of the Witch in the Towne Center Players production of Into the Woods.  Smith teaches theater at Ravenwood High.

Tadd Himelrick, Independence High:     Will play the role of the Baker in the Towne Center Players production of Into the Woods.  Himelrick teaches theater at Independence High.  

Annie Rice, Fairview High:  Will play the role of Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother in the Towne Center Players production of Into the Woods.  Rice teaches theater at Fairview High.

Tuesday-Friday, December 15-18, First semester exams

Friday, December 18, half day for students, end of first semester

Monday-Friday, December 21-January 1, No school due to Winter Break
