BACK TO SCHOOL...
  

In just two weeks, bells will once again ring to start off the 2009-2010 school year in Williamson County.  This issue of IN FOCUS has lots of information you need to know as the school year approaches.  There are also a few videos for you to check out, plus some other features.

First up, take a trip inside Williamson County Schools annual summer camp for students learning the English language.  It's called ESL SUMMER'S COOL and it's one of the coolest summer camps around.  Plus, not all teachers spend their summer hanging out by the pool.  Find out how PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT is helping Williamson County teachers prepare for the upcoming school year.

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include BUS ROUTE information, SCHOOL LUNCH prices and HEALTH SERVICES info.  Parents can also learn how to register for BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE or sign up for ADULT EDUCATION classes.  And most high schools throughout the district will once again observe LATE START DAYS.

In addition to those stories, we also have important information regarding the 2009 AYP REPORT which measures the progress of each school in the district.  Plus, the Williamson County School Board will begin interviewing candidates next week for the DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS position.  And celebrate the many accomplishments of Williamson County students and staff in our AWARDS & ACCOLADES section.
