The 2009-2010 school year is off to a great start in Williamson County.  Over 30,000 students returned to the classroom Thursday, August 13, and IN FOCUS was there to capture all of the excitement.  We interviewed students, parents, teachers and principals from all over the district to get their thoughts about the FIRST DAY of school.

Williamson County Schools is well ahead of the state average when it comes to student performance on the ACT EXAM.  Check out the latest scores.  Plus, it's a topic that everyone seems to be talking about these days: the flu.  With so much concern among parents and staff, the district has compiled a list of ILLNESS GUIDELINES for everyone to follow.

In other news, the search for a new DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS has been narrowed to two finalists.  We have the details.  Plus, time is running out for high school juniors and seniors who might be interested in signing up for the district's ACE MENTOR program.  And find out which local high school is being honored for GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP.
