Centennial High School student Merche Moore will sing the national anthem at the opening ceremonies for the 2009 Jobs for America's Graduates National Student Leadership Conference. Her teacher is Debra Odom.

Ravenwood High School student Taylor Manning won first place at the 2009-2010 Tennessee State Golf Championship. Her coach is Daniel Hollandsworth.
