DYSLEXIA INFORMATION

Dyslexia.  It is one of the most common learning disabilities in children.  It affects how students learn to spell, write and read.  But it is a condition that can be treated.  With help, children can learn to overcome dyslexia and excel in and out of the classroom.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about dyslexia, there will be an informational meeting February 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Elementary School.  The meeting was originally scheduled for January 28 but was canceled due to weather.

Leslie Winter, a Nashville board member of the International Dyslexia Association, will be speaking and conducting dyslexia simulations in an effort to help participants gain a better understanding of how dyslexia can impact a student.  Parents and educators are both invited to attend. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Eileen Miller at jerbler@comcast.net or (615) 599-0992.
