ART TEACHERS RECEIVE
GRANTS

Several Williamson County art teachers were among those recently honored with the Students and Friends of Gail McDaniel Award.  The awards are given each year to visual art teachers in Davidson and Williamson County Public Schools.

On February 25, Longview Elementary art teacher Patricia Hickman, College Grove Elementary art teacher Nicole Greuel, Pinewood Elementary art teacher Katy Lane, Middle College art teacher Jennifer Baltimore and Oak View Elementary art teacher Rachel Hillin received more than $1,700 in grants during a ceremony at the home of Franklin artist Gail McDaniel. The teachers plan to use the money to purchase supplies that will enhance their art program.

Recipients of the 2009 Students and Friends of Gail McDaniel Award gather for a group photo at the home of Franklin artist Gail McDaniel.
