WILLIAMSON COUNTY SCHOOLS
SUPPORT UNITED WAY

The
Williamson County School District played a big role in
raising money for the 2008 United Way Campaign. Each
year during its annual fall campaign, district employees are
asked to donate to United Way. Thanks to the generosity of
hundreds of school employees, this year the district pledged
$54,393, which surpassed the original goal of
$53,670.
The
following schools were the top United Way grade level per
capita givers for the Williamson County School district:
-
Centennial High
-
Westwood Elementary
-
Woodland Middle
One hundred
percent of employees at the following schools contributed to
the campaign:
-
Heritage
Elementary
-
Heritage
Middle
-
Nolensville Elementary
-
Westwood
Elementary
-
Woodland
Middle
The United
Way helps to fund a number of programs that benefit
Williamson County students. For example, the Backpack
Program discreetly provides a large bag of food for the
child to take home for the weekend for the entire family.
This program is available to any child on Free and Reduced
Lunch.
