STUDENTS SHINE AT
FILM FESTIVAL
Williamson
County School's media production students recently got the chance to show off their talent at
the 2009 Williamson County Film Festival. The annual event
was held March 21 at Franklin High School. Judges chose the
winners from more than 200 entries.
The
Williamson County Film Festival is now in its third year.
The district's media production teachers began the event in
2006 as a way for students to have their work critiqued by
industry professionals. This year, the judges included
representatives from Fox 17 News, CMT and the Art Institute.
First,
second and third place winners were chosen from more than a
dozen categories including Animation, Documentary and Short
Film. To see samples of the students' work tune into WC-TV
on Friday, April 3, at 9 a.m., 2.p.m. and 7 p.m.
