KIDS RULE ESSAY WINNERS

What would
the world be like if kids ruled? That was the question
asked of Williamson County students as part of the 2008
Family Resource Center Writing Contest. More than 800
students from Williamson County Schools, Franklin Special
School District, home schools and private schools
participated in the contest.
Students in
grades K through 12 were asked to write a fictional essay
using this year's theme Kids Rule; If Kids Were in Charge.
The purpose of the contest is to give students the
opportunity to practice writing skills learned in the
classroom and encourage the art of creative fiction writing.
The first
place winner for each category won $100, $50 for second and
$25 for third. The Family Resource Center will host
its annual award ceremony honoring the 2008 Writing Contest
Winners Saturday, April 26 at the Brentwood Country Club.
