BRENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

Brentwood High School's TV Media Class won the Mark Madison Award Best Television Station Award at the 2009 Tennessee High School Press Association Awards.  The students include Amy Albright, Richard Alter, David Bush, Austin Campbell, Kelsey Drennan, Holly Feldhacker, Nathan Foust, Nick Hudson, Matt Kluting, Ivy Leaman, McCain Merren, William Mueller, Dylan Osuna, Leslie Raney, Torrey Schusterman, Michael Schmeisser, Hunter Simpson, Jason White, Morgan White, Dallas Wilson, Logan Hughes and Alex Winchel.  Their teacher is Ronnie Adcock.

Brentwood High School student Miranda Palozzolo won the first place award for Best Illustration-Art at the 2009 Tennessee High School Press Association Awards.  Her teacher is Barbara Bullard.

Brentwood High School student Cameron Croy was named the 2009 TSSAA Division 1 State Wrestling Champion in the 189 lb. weight class.  His coach is Joe Blair.

Brentwood High School students Maulin Shah and Michael Zoorob recently won first place in the National Public Debate category at the National Forensics League State competition.  Their coach is Harriett Medlin.

Brentwood High School student Keith Neeley won first place in the Extemporaneous Speaking category at the National Forensics League State competition.  His coach is Harriet Medlin.

Centennial High School's TV Media Class won the first place award for Best Sports Show at the 2009 Tennessee High School Press Association Awards.  The students include Trevor Hyssong, Zach Park, Phillip Gardner, Marc Torrence, Morgan Gregory, Matt Cheathman, Jacob Estrada, Bryce Petty and Izzy Arrendondo.  Their teacher is Dawn Marek.

Megan Goss
RAVENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

Ravenwood High School student Megan Goss was named the 2009 State Champion in the 500 Meter Freestyle event at the Tennessee High School Swimming Championships in Knoxville.  Her coach is Angela Curtiss.

Jump Rope Team
HUNTERS BEND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The Hunters Bend Elementary School Jump Rope Team was named the Overall Jump Rope Team champion at a recent competition.  Team members include Sarah Harden, Caroline DeFranco, Emma Vysoky, Vanessa Vasser, McCallie Miller, Jacob Ferguson, Amanda Wehby, Kathryn Hallock, Kortney Katina, Sydney Grace, Paige Heimendinger, Taylor Lanier, Selah Prater, Jack Heimendinger, Caroline Coady and Anna Cooper.  Lisa Arnold is the team coach.
