LIPSCOMB ELEMENTARY SPRING FUNDRAISER

Strap on your walking shoes and help Lipscomb Elementary raise money at its 2009 Spring Fundraiser.  The event will be held Saturday, April 18.  The day will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a 5K Fun Run/Walk.  Afterwards, there will be a dinner, carnival, bake sale and silent auction.  The cost to participate in the 5K will be $15 per person or $50 for a family of four.  That will also cover admission to the carnival.  Anyone wishing to attend the carnival only will be charged $15.  More information can be found by going  to Lipscomb Elementary School's website at http://www.wcs.edu/les/.  

LONGVIEW REPTILE EXPO CANCELED

The Reptile & Business Expo that was scheduled for May 2 and 3 at Longview Elementary School has been canceled. Organizers say the current economy played a role in the decision to call off the fundraiser.

SCALES ELEMENTARY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Mark your calendars for the second annual Scales Golf Tournament. The 18-hole scramble will be held Monday, May 4 at Temple Hills Golf Course.  The cost is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four which includes green fee, golf cart, lunch, practice range balls, gift bag and prizes.  All participants must be 21 years or older.  For information on how to register, call Dan Gaudette at (615) 376-2359 or Randy Sanders at (615) 371-9732.
