LONGVIEW REPTILE EXPO CANCELED

The Reptile & Business Expo that was scheduled for May 2 and 3 at Longview Elementary School has been canceled. Organizers say the current economy played a role in the decision to call off the fundraiser.

SCALES ELEMENTARY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Mark your calendars for the second annual Scales Golf Tournament. The 18-hole scramble will be held Monday, May 4 at Temple Hills Golf Course. The cost is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four which includes green fee, golf cart, lunch, practice range balls, gift bag and prizes. All participants must be 21 years or older. RAVENWOOD PRESENTS MUSIC 4 MUSIC

Country music singer and Dancing With the Stars champion Julianne Hough will be among the performers May 7 at the 5th Annual Music 4 Music event at Ravenwood High School. Hough will join singer-songwriter Steve Wariner, and RCA Nashville recording artist Chuck Wicks for an evening of story and song. The money raised from this event will benefit the Ravenwood High School Band. The evening will begin with a silent auction from 5:30 to 6:45. There will also be a VIP reception from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. for fans who wish to meet the country music stars. The show itself will begin at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $25-$45.
