ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

The Rotary Club of Cool
Springs is showing its commitment to education by
recognizing the outstanding achievements of Williamson
County Schools Career and Technical Education students.
On May 5, the Rotary Club presented the Arlene Peterson
Memorial Scholarship to four Williamson County high school
seniors who have been active in Career and Technical
Education programs.
The scholarship program
is named after former WCS Vocational Director Arlene
Peterson, who helped implement CTE programs at area high
schools.
This is the seventh year for the scholarship program.
In the past, the scholarships ranged from $250 to $1,000
each. This year, the Rotary Club awarded four $1,500
scholarships, bringing the total amount of money invested by
the Rotary Club of Cool Springs in Williamson County
graduates to $15,550 over a seven year period. Listed
below are the 2008 Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarship
