Frances Ding
WOODLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL


Woodland Middle School eighth
grader Frances Ding achieved first place in the MATHCOUNTS
State Competition. Frances is one of four students who
will represent Tennessee at the 2009 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS
National Competition in Orlando. Her teacher is Linda
Conrad and her math team coach is Christine Xu.

Outstanding Bill in the Red Senate at the annual Youth in
Government Conference. This award was received for
researching, writing and proposing the legislation. Their teacher is Myron

Krystyna Braxton received the award for Outstanding Press
Member at the annual Youth in Government Conference.
Krystyna served as a news anchor for the event and was in
charge of writing her own script. Her teacher is Myron

Cabinet at the annual Youth in Government Conference.
This award was given for assisting the governor in drafting
