TEACHER WINS FREE CAR
FOR A YEAR

Nissan Maxima which he'll get to drive for a year. |
Crockett Elementary School teacher Bobby Jeter was
recently named Nissan's Teacher of the Year. On May 20, local radio personalities Woody and Jim
surprised Jeter with the announcement during a
school assembly. Crockett parent Ann Roebuck
nominated him for the honor. As part of the award, Jeter
will receive a free one-year lease of a 2009 Nissan
Maxima. In addition, the school received a
check for $1,000.
Jeter, who teaches third grade at Crockett
Elementary, is known for his generosity. After
learning two of his students were in foster care,
Jeter and his wife decided to adopt the |
|
brothers and give them a permanent home. The
boys, Peyton and Dalton, now live with the Jeters
and their three daughters. And while life
inside the Jeter household can be quite hectic,
Jeter says it's important to help others when given
the chance.
"I believe that each and every one of us can make a
great impact," says Jeter. "And when life
presents us opportunities to make a difference in
the lives of others, I think it's important for us
to seize those opportunities."
