TRANSITION ACADEMY
CELEBRATION

On May 19,
the Williamson County Transition Academy marked the end of
another successful year with a BBQ Bash. Students and
staff gathered at the academy in Franklin for food,
fellowship and fun. When they weren't playing frisbee
or eating hot dogs, the students were busy chatting with the
guests and showing them around the academy. Toward the
end of the afternoon, awards were handed out to each of the
students, giving them all a reason to smile.
The
Williamson County Transition Academy was created to help
students with special needs make the transition from high
school to post high school opportunities. Instructors
help the students with everything from training and employment
to home and family living. It is open to young men and
women between the ages of 18 and 22.
