NAMING THE NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL
DEADLINE

Time is running out for people interested in naming the district's new middle school. Sunday, October 12 will be the last day for the public to submit their ideas. The school, which is being built in the Spring Hill/Thompson’s Station area, is scheduled to open in August, 2010, and will alleviate overcrowding at Heritage Middle School.

All name suggestions will be reviewed by a committee that will then make recommendations to the School Board for a final selection. Names for the school may be submitted through the following link http://www.wcs.edu/newschoolname.htm or by calling 472-5550.

Friday, October 10, End of First Quarter Grading Period

Thursday-Friday, October 16 & 17, No School due to Fall Break

Tuesday, November 4, No School for students due to Election Day

November 24-28, No School due to Thanksgiving

Tuesday-Friday, December 16-19, First Semester Exams

Friday, December 19, End of First Semester

December 22-January 5,No School due to Winter Holiday
