NEW TRINITY ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

Bethesda Elementary Assistant Principal Chris Schwartz will become the new principal of Trinity Elementary beginning in January. Superintendent Dr. Rebecca Sharber announced the new assignment today.

Schwartz will replace Elizabeth Vest who is taking maternity leave from the district at the end of the semester.

“Chris will provide a seamless transition for Trinity Elementary,” said Sharber. “She has been a teacher and administrator in our district for several years so she will be able to carry on the traditions of excellence and community established at Trinity.”

Schwartz has been serving as assistant principal at Bethesda Elementary for the past two years. Prior to that time, she taught for eight years teaching fourth and fifth grades at Bethesda, serving as the academic specialist there and teaching sixth grade in Florida.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next principal of Trinity Elementary.  Trinity is a great school with a very talented staff and it will be my privilege to work with such a dedicated group of professionals,” said Schwartz. “I will sincerely miss the faculty, staff, students and families at Bethesda; however, I am also eager to begin building a partnership with the wonderful teachers, students and families at Trinity.”

Schwartz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Illinois Wesleyan, 1991; a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida, 1997; and an Education Specialist’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University, 2004.

Schwartz will begin her new responsibilities January 1, 2008.
