MUSIC/THEATRE

RAVENWOOD HIGH PRESENTS MUSIC4MUSIC (SOLD OUT)

It's your chance to see one of country music's rising stars perform several of her hit songs.  Grammy nominated singer Taylor Swift will be at Ravenwood High School February 11 to headline the Fourth Annual Music4Music event.  Marty Roe and Jimmy Olander of Diamond Rio will also be there, in addition to up-and-coming country artist David Berg.  General admission tickets are $25.  VIP tickets are $65.  VIP’s will be invited to an artist reception prior to the concert.

BRENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL BAND CONCERT

The Brentwood High School Marching Band will give a free performance Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m.  The concert will take place inside the Campbell Center at Brentwood High School.  Mr. Gary Speck of Miami University and Mrs. Roanne Romines of Maryville, Tennessee, will serve as guest conductors for the event. 

CENTENNIAL HIGH PRESENTS THE WIZ

Centennial High School is proud to present The Wiz.  This adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was first made into a Broadway musical, but later became a feature film starring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.  The musical will be performed by members of Centennial High School's Drama Department February 21 through 23 at 7:00 p.m.  Ticket prices are $7 each.  There will also be a special performance February 24 at 2:00 p.m.  Children ages six through ten will be offered a discount ticket price of $4 and children five and under are free. 

BRENTWOOD HIGH PRESENTS LES MISERABLES

One of the longest-running shows in Broadway history is coming to Brentwood High School.  The Bruins Drama and Choral Departments will collaborate in a performance of Les Miserables March 6 through 8 at 7:00 p.m. and March 9 at 2:00 p.m.  Les Miserables follows the lives of several French characters over a 20 year period in the early 19th century.  Tickets are $8 for students and adults, and $5 for children ages 11 and under.

PAGE HIGH PRESENTS BYE BYE BIRDIE

A rock and roll superstar is about to be inducted into the U.S. Army in this classic musical.  Bye Bye Birdie is the tale of rock star Conrad Birdie and a plan to give a female fan "one last kiss" before heading off to basic training.  Page High School will perform the cherished musical March 6 through 8 at 7:00 p.m. and March 9 at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets will be $8 at the door.

RAVENWOOD HIGH PRESENTS WEST SIDE STORY

A tale of forbidden love unfolds in Ravenwood High School's production of West Side Story.  Set in New York City in the 1950's, the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet takes on a more modern twist.  Come hear such classic songs as Maria, Somewhere and America.  The performances will be held March 27 and 28 at 7:00 p.m., March 29 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and March 30 at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $8 at the door.
