ISSUE 20
June 5, 2008
IN THIS ISSUE...

The pools,
malls and parks are a little more crowded these days.
Summer break is finally here and Williamson County students
are enjoying some much needed time off. Here at
IN FOCUS, we are still rolling right along and will
continue doing so all summer.
We have three videos for you
to check out this issue. First, you'll hear from two
Fairview High School graduates as they explain how they
built a one-of-a-kind
BRIEFCASE COMPUTER. Next,
we'll take a trip to Page Middle School where a group of
seventh graders are sending some special
BOOKS TO AFRICA.
Lastly, we will unveil the brand-new
IN FOCUS LOGO
and introduce you to the student who created it.
Some of the other stories
you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include
information about SUMMER CONSTRUCTION at Williamson
County schools and the results of a new survey that answers
the question, "How many Williamson County students have
INTERNET ACCESS at home?" Plus, a new study shows
Williamson County students are above the national norm in
terms of TECHNOLOGY LITERACY,
teachers learn new skills at
SUMMER CLASSES and new
BRAIN RESEARCH could change the way teachers approach go
about their daily lessons.
The next IN FOCUS
will come out a week later than usual on June 26.
Please encourage folks to
SIGN UP and as always
EMAIL US with any questions or comments. |
