HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Happy
Holidays from IN FOCUS! Winter break is
almost here, which means first semester exams are only a few
days away. The exams will take place December 18-21.
Don't forget, December 21 is a half day and classes will
resume January 7.
In the
meantime, it's never
too soon for students to begin thinking about their future.
That's why Williamson County Schools participated in the
sixth annual World of Possibilities
<Career Fair>. More than 2,500
students attended the event November 29 at the Williamson
County Ag Expo Center.
While most
of us would like to spend our golden years relaxing on a
beach, some Williamson County senior citizens would
rather spend it in the classroom. That's because they
are helping children learn to read. It's part of a
program called
<FLIP>, which
matches senior citizens with children in kindergarten
through fourth grades.
Also this
week, see which schools have held
<toy, clothing, or food drives>
for local families and organizations in need; Williamson
County Schools is teaming with a local college to help
students who might be interested in a
<medical career>; and
students at Fairview High School finish building a
<race car>.
Be sure and
check out all of the upcoming holiday performances and
musicals in our MUSIC/THEATER
section, and we have lots of new photos to check out in this
week's PHOTO GALLERY.
We also honor four new teachers with the
WC-TV TEACHER FEATURE
award.
Please pass
along the word to
SIGN UP

inside Williamson County Schools. As always, feel free
