      Students at Bethesda Elementary School have created a variety of original artworks in several mediums while undertaking a study of the elements and principles of visual design. These artworks include ceramic sculptures, mixed-medium projects and several kinds of drawings and paintings. Our art program is grounded in discipline based art education, meaning that we also spend time looking at and talking about a wide range of historical art reproductions, as well as time spent learning about the theory of design and technique that goes into the making of great art. We have learned a lot this year while having a great time in art class!
