Medication
Policy
Parents, you can view the
medication policy for WCS at this
link.
It gives you the information that you need to know about
students and medications in the school setting.
For
Over-the-Counter Medicine
to be given to your child at school:
Parents, this is the
form
that you will need to complete and bring in with the
over the counter medication that you would like to have
on hand at BHS in case your child needs it during the
school day. Please hand these both in to the
school nurse.
For Prescription Medicine
to be given to your child at school:
Parents, this is the
form that must
be completed by you and signed by your child’s physician
for any prescription medication to be given during the
school day to your child. Parents should bring the
completed form and medication to the school nurse.
If Your Child Uses an Epi-pen
at school:
Parents, please use this
form if your
child needs to have an Epi-Pen at the school for a life
threatening allergy. Contact the school nurse.
An emergency care plan must be in place for any student
who has a life threatening allergy.
For the "Non-Competent"
Child
Parents, please use this
form
is your
child is non- competent and will need to take medication
at school during the school day. You and your
child’s physician will need to sign. Please bring
in the medication and completed form to the school
nurse.
