National Merit Semi-Finalists

Brentwood High School is proud to announce the following 10 students as National Merit Semi-Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. The 16,000 semi-finalists were selected from the more than 1.4 million entrants in the National Merit Program. Students entered the competition by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The semi-finalists represent less than 1% of each state’s high school seniors.

National Merit Commended Students

Brentwood High School is proud to announce the following 12 students as National Merit Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

In addition to the 16,000 semi-finalists, 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million entrants in the National Merit Program. Students entered the competition by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
