| STARS exists to help students refrain from the use of alcohol, other
drugs and violence. It also works to enhance students educational
achievement and character development. At Brentwood Middle School,
we have a very active STARS program led by Ms. Lindsey Haeger.
She is assisted with the STARS activities by a CORE team made up by
faculty members at Brentwood Middle and a student-lead SEC (STARS
Executive Council). Group meetings, which involve small groups of
students and group facilitators, are held on a weekly basis.

complete an application process and sign a contract indicating their
commitment to the activities planned by the SEC. Members of the SEC attended a leadership retreat
and conducted a very successful Red Ribbon Week activities. |
