Reading for Sixth Graders
2008-2009

| Students are encouraged to read during the summer as
an enrichment exercise, but summer reading is optional. If
students read a book from the attached list and complete the Summer
Reading Activity, they will receive 20 points extra credit upon
successful delivery of the project to their teacher. The extra
credit activity must be turned in when it is requested by the teacher.
Students who do not do this project will not lose points. Click to see the suggested reading list.

| Project Description: Choose a book that you have never read and complete one of the following projects: |

Option 1: Create book review on video. Include title, author, number of pages, main characters, setting and basic plot.
|
|
Option 2: Make a bookmark no larger than 8 1/2 x 11. Include: title, author, number of pages, main characters, setting, one colored drawing depicting a scene from the book, and the main idea. |
PROJECTS ARE DUE AUGUST 18.
If you are new to Williamson County, projects will be due AUGUST 21.
