Teacher Technolog Standards

All classroom teachers should be prepared to meet the following standards:
	Teachers must include one technology application in their weekly lesson plans. The technology part of the plan should be highlighted in yellow.
	Teachers must demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and concepts.
	Teachers must plan and design effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology.
	Teachers must implement curriculum plans that include methods and strategies for applying technology to maximize student learning.
	Teachers must apply technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessments and evaluation strategies.
	Teachers must use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice.
	Teachers must understand the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in PK-12 schools and apply that understanding in practice.
	Teachers must ensure that any new technology products purchased for the classroom are primarily used by the students, not the teacher.
