Our
Beliefs:
- Every child has the capacity to learn.
- Differentiated instruction is necessary for students to be successful.
- Technology should be imbedded in instruction to engage students in
learning.
- Formative and summative assessments drive instruction and curriculum
planning to meet all students' needs.
- When given time, decisions are made collaboratively with input from
administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
- School policy develops through research, assessment, analysis, and
stakeholder input. (Quality Improvement Cycle)
- Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community share the
responsibility for advancing the school's mission.
Our
Vision:
All students will
function on or above grade level in literacy, numeracy, the social sciences, and
science. This achievement will assist them in planning for four years of
high school and post-secondary study. They will be cognizant that middle
school provided them the social, emotional, physical, and academic growth
necessary to be successful at the next level.
Our Mission:
In as safe, structured, and supportive
environment, students will make one year's academic growth in the four core
content areas as measured by TCAP.
Our 2007-2008 Goals:
Students will demonstrate a year's growth.
