Bus Driver Requirements 

Complete a WCS Classified Application at the WCS Human Resources Department.  Applications are available online at:  wcs.edu/careers/support or at the WCS Human Resources Department located at 1320 West Main Street, Suite 202, Franklin, TN  37064. 

After a successful interview with the Transportation Department, the applicant must: 

  1. Obtain DOT Physical
  2. Pass and receive CDL Permit from TN Driver’s License Center
  3. Attend the WCS Driver Training Course – usually a minimum of 2 weeks
  4. After successfully completing the WCS Driver Training Course, applicant must pass the Pre-Trip Skills and Road Test
  5. Take the Certificate issued from the training course to the Driver’s License Center to obtain a PERMANENT CDL license (not a permit) with the “P” & “S” endorsements
  6. Pass the WCS Pre-Employment Drug Test
