The Williamson County Board of
Education discussed several zoning
and rezoning plans during its work
session last night. The
establishment of zone lines for
three schools that will open next
year were discussed along with
rezoning for two other schools. The
schools that will open next year
include a west Franklin elementary
school, an elementary school in the
southern part of the county and a
middle school in the southern part
of the county. The School Board will
vote to establish those zone lines
at its regular meeting Monday,
November 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
in the auditorium of the
Administrative Complex.
Regarding
rezoning, two plans were shared last
night. One involves a rezoning of
some students at Bethesda
Elementary. The other involves
rezoning students at Ravenwood High
to alleviate overcrowding. The
School Board will vote on the
rezoning plans at a special called
meeting on Monday, November 30 at 6
p.m. in the Carolyn Campbell Room of
the Administrative Complex.

In addition,
information sharing, come-and-go
meetings will be held for each of
the areas. Staff members and School
Board members will be available to
show maps and answer questions. All
meetings will be from 5 p.m. until 7
p.m. on the following days:

November 9 in the Walnut Grove
Elementary cafetorium for west
Franklin elementary

Tuesday,
November 10 in the Heritage Middle
library for the south elementary and
middle schools

Tuesday,
November 17 in the Bethesda
Elementary library for Bethesda
students involved in rezoning

Thursday,
November 19 in the Ravenwood High
cafeteria for Ravenwood students
involved in rezoning
