Substitute Teacher
Application Letter
Please read the
announcement for important information before applying.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Applicant,
Your interest in
substitute teaching for Williamson County Schools is greatly
appreciated. Please review the information below as our application
process has changed.
Applicants with
an active or inactive teaching license from any state or a Masters of
Education degree:
Please complete the application fully. Applicants will be contacted and scheduled for orientation /
in-processing with other newly hired employees. You must bring the following items to the
orientation:
- Driver’s License
- Social Security
card and a voided check for payroll
- Teaching license
or transcript conferring Masters of Education
- $48.00 for
required criminal background check*
* The $48.00 fee for a criminal
background check is reimbursable after verification of working a minimum
of 5 days. Please submit written request for reimbursement to
ashleyr1@wcs.edu. The reimbursement will be
mailed to your home address.
Applicants
without a teaching license:
Please complete the application fully.
Applicants without a teaching license are required to attend a ½ day
substitute teacher training session. When invited to a training
session you must bring the following items:
- Driver’s License
- Social Security
card and a voided check for payroll
- Documentation of
your highest level of education
- $48.00 for
required criminal background check*
* The $48.00 fee for
a criminal background check is reimbursable after verification of
working a minimum of 5 days. Please submit written request for
reimbursement to
