Beliefs
With our help, all students will be...

individuals who value and practice effective life skills.
proficient, self-directed life-long learners.
confident users of technology.

Mission Statement
To promote competent, positive, life-long learners.

Vision Statement
We, College Grove Elementary School, parents, and community,
will work together to promote success for all students.

Motto
Launch into the World of Learning.

Affirmation Pledge
I believe I am a special person who can succeed,
who can help others learn,
and can make our school a better place in which to learn.

School Hours
School begins at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 3:35 p.m.  Students may arrive at 8:00 a.m. and wait in the gym until 8:25 a.m. before being dismissed to their classrooms.  Students are considered tardy after 8:35 a.m.

Early Dismissal
All students must be signed out through the school office.  Students must be present for three hours and sixteen minutes to be counted present for the entire day. There will be no early dismissal after 3:15 p.m.

Absences
Student attendance is monitored by the Department of Education.  When a student is absent from school the parent must provide written explanation of the absence within three days of the student's return.  Make-up work will be allowed for all excused absences.

Closing of School
In the event school is closed due to inclement weather, parents will receive a call from Dr. Sharber as early in the morning as possible to let you know about closings for the day.  You may also listen to WAKM-950 AM in Franklin, or you may watch the local TV stations (2, 4,or 5) for a complete list of school closings and other information.  A form is sent home in the Fall to inform your child's teacher of early dismissal plans.
