Centennial Cell Phone Policy beginning March 27, 2008
Cell
phones may not be used in the classroom for any reason
at any time. Any cell phone visible or audible in within
any classroom space or any place in the school during
class time will be taken up and placed in the office.
Students must serve a detention and their phone must be
picked up by a parent from the office on the school day
following the detention if taken up.
Students may use their phones in the hallways between
classes and during their lunch period.
Students who refuse to give their phones to a teacher
immediately upon the request of any Centennial employee
will also receive a day of In School Suspension (ISS).
They must then serve the detention and have a parent
pick up their phone.
Students may use their ipods in their directed studies
class at a level that will not disturb other students.
The privilege may be revoked by the teacher if the noise
level is not adjusted when asked.
