CHALLENGE DAY 2008

Challenge Day is returning to Centennial High School next week, and, parents, you have an opportunity to participate in this exciting program. We need 20 parents of seniors, 20 parents of Juniors, and 20 parents of sophomores to participate in Challenge Day. Your commitment will be from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., and you must be able to attend the entire day to participate. Challenge Day for Seniors is Monday, September 8; Juniors is Tuesday, September 9; and Sophomores is Wednesday, September 10. Freshman will participate September 11, but we already have our parent volunteers for that day.

The first 20 parent volunteers for each grade level will get to participate. If you need more information, you may log on to challengeday.org and check the program out.

Sign up to participate by sending your name, your student’s name and grade level, and your phone number to barbaram1@wcs.edu or calling 615-472-4273 and leaving your name, student’s name and grade level, and your email address on the message.

If you attend, your child will have the opportunity to attend as well, but he or she will not be in your small group. Permission slips for student participation will be coming home tomorrow and need to be returned on Friday.

UPDATE  9/7/08

This is an update on Challenge Day. All Seniors who are participating in Challenge Day need to be at school by 7:30 on Monday. It is a late start Monday for our other students but Challenge Day starts at 7:30 for students and 7:00 for adult volunteers. We still have 20 openings for Senior students to participate. The registration table will open at 7:00 the first 20 students to turn in their signed permission slips will get to participate.


Every student who turned their form in on Friday will get to participate in the Challenge Day activities. We still have a few openings for Juniors and Freshmen to participate in Challenge Day. You may turn your forms into the office on Monday if you want to experience the day.
