Pre-Kindergarten

Childhood is a journey, not a race

The pre-kindergarten program is designed to help children prepare for kindergarten and succeed in the school environment. Success is achieved through developmentally appropriate instruction by Highly Qualified pre-kindergarten teachers.  The program serves children who will be 4 years of age on or before September 30.  Pre-k is available at Bethesda Elementary, College Grove Elementary, Crockett Elementary, Fairview Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Hillsboro School, Longview Elementary, Nolensville Elementary School and Westwood Elementary.

The pre-k program is opened zone to all eligible 4 year olds in Williamson County but children of families of financial need and English as a second language are given priority. The program follows state and county guidelines for student/teacher ratios; therefore, class size is limited to 10 students per teacher.
