The Williamson
County Schools Communications Department assists in the management
and oversight of the operation of WC-TV, Comcast Channel 3 and
Charter 96, the Williamson County government’s cable access
channels; publishes an email newsletter, IN FOCUS, at least twice
each month; and works with the local news media. Carol Birdsong is
the Communications Director, and she is assisted by Lydia Glynn.
Cory Mason is the Communications Specialist, and editor of IN
FOCUS.
IN FOCUS is the
district’s email newsletter. It contains important district
information, plus features on students, teachers, staff, and all the
good things going on inside Williamson County Schools. It is
emailed at least twice each month to those who sign up.

Cable companies
Comcast and Charter provide a cable access channel for Williamson
County Schools and Williamson County government. The channel is
operated out of the Administrative Complex. Students from Williamson
County high schools submit programs to be aired.
School Board,
County Commission and Planning Commission meetings are broadcast
live on the meeting night. The Board meets on the third Monday of
the month at 6:30 p.m., and the Commission meets on the second
Monday of the month at 7 p.m. The Planning Commission meets at 7
p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. The meetings are replayed
on Channel 3 and 96 the following Tuesday morning.
