Brentwood, a suburban area adjacent to Nashville, is a residential
community of 22,200 and is located in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Residents are typically professional people employed in the Nashville
metropolitan area. The City of Brentwood was incorporated in 1969. It is
located in northern corner of Williamson County, adjacent to the
southern boundary of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County. It
encompasses an area of 35.5 square miles and offers 6 parks and green
spaces covering over 397 acres of recreational land which provides
athletic fields, basketball and tennis courts, picnic shelters,
biking/walking and hiking trails, playgrounds, an outdoor amphitheater
and a historic area. Additionally, the City of Brentwood boasts the
opening in 1998 of its new $8,000,000 state of the art public library
facility.
