School History
Middle College High School began the fall of 1998. The school met on the campus of Nashville State Community College. In January 2006, MCHS left NSCC and had a temporary home in portables on the Franklin High School campus.  In April 2006, MCHS moved to its current and permanent location.

We are one of twenty-two middle colleges or early middle colleges in the National Middle College High School Consortium. The Middle College allows students to be dual enrolled in high school as well as Columbia State Community College, NSCC, or O’More School of Design. Students attending the Middle College High School are students that are looking for a fresh start in their high school careers.

Library/Media Center
Middle College High School students have access to the Williamson County Public Library located beside our campus.

Academics
Middle College High School offers the necessary classes needed for graduation. We also offer special classes through CoSCC, NSCC, and O’More School of Design. We have a number of students who take advantage of the dual enrollment program.   We are able to give more attention to our students through smaller classes and through the use of a Service Learning or Focus Group program which allows teachers and students to have a direct and continuous interaction.

Site Based Management
The faculty at Middle College High School is very active in the decision making process. We meet weekly and are constantly evaluating and considering improvements to our program. The faculty also does the interviewing of prospective students.
