School History
Rich in history, dating back to shortly after the Civil
War, Nolensville School has been an established
institution in Williamson County for over 100 years. The
school’s present building opened in the fall of 2007.
With an enrollment of just under 700 students we
are projected to be at capacity by 2011.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
While we have a formal date set aside in September for
parent-teacher conferences, we welcome the opportunity
to confer with parents any time it is needed.
If you would like to discuss your child’s
progress, do not hesitate to call or email your teacher
to set up an appointment.
Parent Support
Organization Parent involvement is always welcomed. The
PTO provides extensive programming and financial support
to the school. Many parents are involved on a daily
basis as classroom volunteers. Parents are welcome
at Nolensville!
Academics Nolensville Elementary is accredited by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. We
follow the standards set by the state of Tennessee.
That curriculum can be found at
http://state.tn.us/education/ci/curriculum.shtml
In addition to our general curriculum, our
students are regularly involved in music, art, PE,
library, and guidance (K – 5). We do provide
special education and gifted education for students who
have specific needs.
Special Programs
Each year we provide enrichment opportunities for
students including assemblies and field trips.
We also provide several club activities including
a student newspaper, academic clubs, and drama.
Library/Media Center
Our media center is well-stocked with your children’s
favorite titles.
Our catalog is computerized; students can search
for books from their classrooms, the lab, or library
computers.
We promote independent reading by creating a flex
schedule which allows students to check out books as
often as they need to.
Guidance Nolensville has a
full-time school counselor who teaches school classes
regularly in grades K – 5. Our school counselor
also meets with individual students as needed and with
small groups. Parents are encouraged to contact
our school counselor to discuss student issues as
needed.
Sports The Nolensville Division of the Williamson
County Parks and Recreation Department provides both
Fall and Spring sports to our community.
Partnerships Several businesses in Nolensville
contribute to our programs and special events. We
appreciate the support of the community.
